Visit us on 18th St and Spruce Hills Drive in Bettendorf for your favorite treat or a custom decorated cake. This store is independently owned and operated by Susan Medd since opening in 1977. The Medds are one of Dairy Queen’s first families. Sue is a third generation DQ owner. Sue’s father Ron, and uncles, Ralph and Dick Medd of C.R. Medd and Sons from Bettendorf, invented and patented the Blizzard Machine. You can see the machine and patents in the store.

We offer the finest in soft serve treats, cones, malts, shakes, a variety of Royal Treats, Blizzards, Orange Julius, and Moolattes. We are a treat shop; we don’t sell burgers. We have BBQ beef sandwiches, hot dogs with steamed buns and as always, Tuesdays are Hot Dog Day. Our freezers are fully stocked with cakes and novelties, made here daily, ready for you to take home.
